Unit 8

Hi Everyone

I believe visualization and meditation will fit just perfect for my career.  I think visualization will work fine for people who needs to adjust their dietary needs.  If a client is suffering with food changes he or she can visualize the problem food items(their favorite unhealthy foods) think how bad it taste, smell, how it makes them fat, disgusting, and etc...all the little words which make them hate their favorite unhealthy food choices.  Or, it can be the other way.  A client can visualize healthy foods going down their esophagus and to the small intestines providing all the nutrients which you need.  The problem lies with the client, the mind is so powerful it will do anything you want.  Meditation is valuable as well like Loving-kindness practice.  I can use loving-kindness practice for client having a hard time adjusting to a new diet after surgery and life threatening disease.  The practice and focus would be "How much do you love you family?"  Practice would involved thinking of the love ones who is helping you with the journey of getting healthy again.  People do not understand being stubborn to a diet or medication adds pain and self-conflict.  And definitely adds more stress to the family when you do want to cooperate.
